Computers, security, politics, freedom… and whatever else
Below is a list of projects I’m currently working on, with the latest information available. The projects on this page are not specifically related to any particular subject, though most of them will likely be focused on computer and network security or programming.
Game Project: BorderSpace
I’m not in a position to reveal too many details about BorderSpace, I can tell you that it’s intended to be a Space Combat/Trading MMO with realistic Newtonian physics. The project was spawned from a small group of gamers who met each other playing a similar style of game, Netdevil’s Jumpgate.
For further information about BorderSpace, please also see our Wiki, which contains a wealth of information about the game, it’s setting and it’s mechanics. We will continue to update our Wiki as decisions are finalized.
Game Project: Untitled Turn-based Strategy Game
While I am certainly free to speak about this game, there isn’t much to tell at the moment. This is my own side-project which I’m using largely as a learning opportunity. The game is very early in the design and development process and while some progress has been made, there is not much to show. The game is intended to be a turn-based strategy game, similar to the Civilization franchise, with tactical turn-based combat, similar to the combat found in Final Fantasy Tactics. The setting will be either historical fantasy or futuristic fantasy/science fiction. The game is being built with the Unity game engine.
Project: Old PC to Media Server Conversion
This one is pretty straight forward. About a week ago I built my new machine and as mentioned, I intend to turn my old box into a media server. I don’t have all the details yet but it’s something I hopefully can find the time to work on this week.
